DescriptionBaktar Shikan is a second-generation anti-tank guided missile weapon system which uses the principle of optical aiming, IR tracking and automatically generated, remote controlled and wire transmitted guidance signals. With its long range, greater penetration power and a powerful anti-jamming capability, it forms a potent defence against armoured targets. It is easy to operate and is capable of destroying all known tank targets including those fitted with ERA at ranges up to 3,000 m with more than 90% hit and penetration probability. The system can quickly be disassembled into four sub-assemblies, each weighing not more than 25 kg, thus making the system man-portable.
Sub-Assemblies:
The Baktar Shikan ATGM System can quickly be disassembled into following four sub-units, each weighing not more than 25 kg, thus making the system man-portable:
Encased Missile, IR Goniometer, Upper Frame, Lower Frame
Support Equipment for ATGM Baktar Shikan:
1. First Echelon Instrument
First Echelon Instrument is the field-level tester for Baktar Shikan System. It is a compact and portable battery-operated system, which quickly tests the major parameters of the weapon and provides go/no-go indication to the firer.
First Echelon Instrument Tester is an equipment to test Baktar Shikan FEI itself for the correct operational state. It is a computerized automatic test equipment for quick and easy testing and diagnostics of FEI at the field workshop level.
